What a hidden gem!
I had never heard of this place before tonight, but I was just here for the Westchester Comedy Festival.
First off, this isn't a restaurant, it's a venue space, so you aren't going to find a meal here (unless the event is catered, like our event; however, I believe the caterers were working from a kitchen located in the building.)
Whatever you have planned here, GRB will have you blown away by the incredible decor and ambiance. The style in the interior is elegant and classic, which makes sense if you consider that the building is over 100 years old. The walls of the entrance feature that red and white striping from box offices of yore. The banquet hall is a magnificent open space with a large front stage, and exquisitely carved designs across the walls and ceiling. Although the building has all the style and class of yesteryear, I am happy to report that it is completely updated for a modern audience. Our event supported a fully operational band, and stage lighting. Also, there are LEDs inlaid in the panelling of the walls near the stage, so we were treated to mood lighting throughout the performance; nice touch GRB, nice touch.
If you are planning to host an event, and are looking for a big space (it looks like this space could fit 500 easy), then definitely pick here.
