We had my son's bar mitzvah party at the Roosevelt Ballroom on 12/19/15. Most of his friends' parties were in Hastings, Dobbs, Ardsley, as that is the general area where our temple is. But I wanted something a little off the beaten track, while having lots of room for a dance floor, excellent food, open bar, at a reasonable price. When we toured the place I was very impressed by the gorgeous space, and I Ioved the history- that Presidents have dined there!

So I didn't look any further and chose the Roosevelt Ballroom for my son's party. I am so glad I did! Management was great to work with! They gave me exactly the menu I wanted (from passed apps, buffet line for kids and adults, to desserts), they were always available, provided excellent service the day of...they checked in with me regularly to make sure everything was going the way I wanted. With 130 guests the day was busy but perfect! I used to be in the restaurant industry and I'm a vegetarian (although we had non-veg dishes served as well) and I can honestly say that the food was even better than I expected. My guests said so too. :-) I can't say enough about this place; they helped my son's incredibly special day be all I'd hoped for.

We had our son's baptismal party there for about 500 people and it was AWESOME. Mr. Jan and his staff are AMAZING. Please book this venue for future events you may be planning and you wont be disappointed.

Beautiful place and great food. Management really cooperated with us to meet our needs for the Christmas Eve and New Years Eve parties we threw there. They went above and beyond catering to our needs. We looked for many places that would accommodate the hours we wanted, the space we needed and catering as well - this was the only place available, ready and willing. Thanks Jan for an amazing experience!

What a hidden gem!
I had never heard of this place before tonight, but I was just here for the Westchester Comedy Festival.
First off, this isn't a restaurant, it's a venue space, so you aren't going to find a meal here (unless the event is catered, like our event; however, I believe the caterers were working from a kitchen located in the building.)

Whatever you have planned here, GRB will have you blown away by the incredible decor and ambiance. The style in the interior is elegant and classic, which makes sense if you consider that the building is over 100 years old. The walls of the entrance feature that red and white striping from box offices of yore. The banquet hall is a magnificent open space with a large front stage, and exquisitely carved designs across the walls and ceiling. Although the building has all the style and class of yesteryear, I am happy to report that it is completely updated for a modern audience. Our event supported a fully operational band, and stage lighting. Also, there are LEDs inlaid in the panelling of the walls near the stage, so we were treated to mood lighting throughout the performance; nice touch GRB, nice touch.
If you are planning to host an event, and are looking for a big space (it looks like this space could fit 500 easy), then definitely pick here.
